During the first meeting of the new elected Executive Committee of the World Council of Churches (WCC), it took place in Geneva, in the Reading Room of the Ecumenical Centre, on February 10, 2014, a presentation of the first official edition of the Orthodox Handbook on Ecumenism: Resources for Theological Education – “That They All May Be One” (John 17, 21), a volume edited by Pantelis Kalaitzidis, Thomas FitzGerald, Cyril Hovorun, Aikaterini Pekridou, Nikolaos Asproulis, Dietrich Werner, and Guy Liagre,  and published by the Volos Academy Publications, in cooperation with WCC Publications and Regnum Books International.
 
After the opening and welcome by the WCC General Secretary Rev. Dr. Olav Fykse Tveit, Dr. Pantelis Kalaitzidis (Volos Academy), Nikolaos Asproulis (Volos Academy) and Rev. Dr. Dietrich Werner (ETE/WCC) presented the Handbook to the present members of... 
the Executive Committee and representatives of other ecumenical organisations (CEC, GlobEthics.net/Global Digital Library for Theology and Ecumenism, World Student Christian Federation, etc. Dr. Kalaitzidis spoke on the background and the initial idea of the whole project that results to this monumental publication. Nikolaos Asproulis gave a brief picture of the contents of the whole Handbook, while Rev. Dr. Werner explained the theological and historical relevance of this Handbook for the global (not only Orthodox) Christian theological education.
 
During the same book launch, apart from the presentation of the Orthodox Handbook, on Ecumenism the volume Peace in Christian Thought and Life was also presented by the editors Christopher Dorn and Clare Amos. The event was completed with questions and responses from executive committee members.
