A book launch of two collective volumes entitled: Personhood, Eucharist and the Kingdom of God in ecumenical perspective. A Festschrift in Honour of Metropolitan John D. Zizioulas of Pergamon (Volos Academy Publications, Volos, 2016) and The Witness of Orthodoxy to the West. A Festschrift in Honour of Metropolitan Kallistos Ware of Diokleia (Volos Academy Publications, Volos, 2018) published by the Volos Academy Publications (an imprint of the Volos Academy for Theological Studies) successfully took place on November 4th 2018 in Athens, within the framework of the 7th Orthodox Christian Book Affair of the En Plo Publications .
Panelists included: Mr. Dimitrios Mavropoulos, theologian, Publisher and Founder of Domos Publications, Dr. Athanasios N. Papathanasiou, Lecturer at the Higher Ecclesiastical Academy of Athens and Hellenic Open University, Chief Editor of the Journal Synaxi and Dr. Evangelia Voulgaraki, Lecturer at the School of Social Theology and Religious Studies of Athens University. The panel was chaired by Dr. Pantelis Kalaitzidis, Director of the Volos Academy for Theological Studies.
In their brief interventions the speakers referred to the content of the collective volumes, highlighting key aspects of the work of the two eminent Orthodox theologians of the 20th century. In addition, they emphasized their contribution to the dialogue of Orthodoxy with the problems of the modern world.
