Byzantine - Ecclesiastical Compositions were originally written for male voices. During the last decades numerous women have been studying Byzantine Music in Music Schools in Greece and at Conservatories (ecclesiastical, municipal or private). On Saturday 29, 2019, the concluding-evaluation meeting of the representatives of the institutions, teachers and pupils involved in the implementation of the Pilot Program “The Narrative of the Holocaust through Art and Local History” approved by the General Secretariat of Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs was successfully held in the Jewish Community
From May 31st to June 4th, 2019, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew hosted the third Halki Summit. The summit convened distinguished representatives of Orthodox theological schools and seminaries from all over the world, and focused on the theme of “Theological Formation and Ecological Awareness.” Some 50 delegates from over 40 institutions have been in attendance.
